3-Ingredient Thanksgiving Cocktail

I haven't posted a cocktail recipe in a while. Truth be told, I haven't made one in a while. Most of the time I'm having a glass of wine or something simple like a vodka soda. The holidays always bring out my inner mixologist, so I've been here slanging cocktails this week.

Fall and Thanksgiving are synonymous with bourbon to me, so it only made sense I made a bourbon-based cocktail. This one is a bit spirit-forward, but packs enough sweetness to eliminate the bitter beer face for the fruity drink enthusiasts.

Here's what you need:

  • 2 oz bourbon (I used Russell's Reserve)
  • 1 oz orange liqueur (I used Cointreau)
  • 1 oz amoretto (I used Disaronno)
  • Cinnamon sticks and star anise for garnish (optional)

Fill a lowball glass with ice sphere (or regular ice if you're not that fancy – but you should totally be that fancy). Add in all three ingredients. Stir with cocktail stirrer. Garnish with cinnamon stick and star anise. Enjoy.
