Welcome to aquiafrancisco.com or Life with Aquia.

Aquia Francisco is the person behind the blog. The niche here is all-encompassing – mostly lifestyle. She is a jane of many trades and loves to try new things so you’ll see a little bit of everything from DIY and home decor, snippets of her ever-evolving style, her travels, beauty, food – you name it. Aquia started blogging circa 2014 on and off and at the time aptly named her blog The Faux Fancy – a blog about luxury on a budget. Fast forward to a life in which we now know COOVID-19, not much has changed but the name. Hope you’ll stay awhile.

FAST FACTS

F06F0D36-17A8-4ADC-B620-339C9D276F14.JPG

I’m in my early 30s and reside in Dallas, TX.

I’m originally from San Antonio, TX, but moved to the DFW area in 2007 for college and never left.

I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a focus in public relations and a minor in marketing from the University of North Texas.

I’m dog mom to a goldendoodle named Lennox who has a personality unlike any other dog I’ve met.

I got married in 2015 and divorced in 2019 and I often say that part of my life could be a lifetime movie. I’m always open to talking about my story and surviving narcissistic abuse.

My home journey has been an interesting one. If you’ve been around a while you’ve seen my decor styles and tastes change as I went from a 4,000 sq ft home to a town home, to a 700 sq ft apartment when I got divorced, to now, in a 3 bedroom home I’m renting. I love sharing renter friendly DIYs and home decor tips!

I have an interest in a lot of creative things (and I’m quite good at them too). I do everything from photography (mostly portraits), event curation and planning, craft cocktail making, tie-die (I started a whole business!), social media strategy and marketing, and the list goes on.

I’m very much the planner friend. I can make a bomb itinerary for wherever the destination may be. People often ask me for recommendations for places to eat and things to do and I’m always glad to share my knowledge or help do the research!
